This is a route from the Arritxulo hostel in Oiartzun, in Gipuzkoa, on the border with Navarra and more specifically with Lesaka, to the picturesque village of Arantza.

We will cross beech and oak forests, reach very beautiful summits such as Izu and Baraxar, and have the mountains Ekaitza, Mendieder, and Mendaur within sight.

The route we suggest goes down to the village of Arantza. However, you can continue on toward Ekaitza and Mendieder, reach the summit of Mount Mendaur, and then descend to Sunbilla. We would arrive at the rural apartments Casa angiz Etxea, a country house in Baztan Bidasoa ideal for hiking in Navarra.
