“Our commitment to the environment”.
Sustainable accommodation thanks to the support of the National Energy Efficiency Fund and financed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and by the Department of Economic and Business Development of the Government of Navarra.
Casa Angiz Etxea has benefited from the “Aid for the financing of energy efficiency and circular economy projects for tourism companies, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan”, thus aligning with the “objectives of the Navarra Energy Plan Horizon 2030 to encourage actions that seek to rationalize energy consumption and reduce dependence on fossil resources”.
Indeed, we have improved the building’s energy efficiency by generating energy with photovoltaic panels and an aerothermal heat pump. This is a self-consumption photovoltaic installation with grid connection and surplus injection, and the generation of domestic hot water and hot water for underfloor heating, through an aerothermal system powered by electricity.
All these measures reinforce the previous adapted measures.
1) It is a relatively new building, with good thermal insulation. It has eaves, a pergola, a porch, shutters and an awning to keep the house in the shade. Its huge windows allow us to take advantage of the sun’s heat in winter and spring.
2) Green areas and terraces We have fruit trees and plants that need little watering. And we use natural prepared fertilizers from the Endanea brand and organic ones.
3) Low-consumption lights.
4) Low-consumption household appliances.
5) Sustainability decalogue of Casa Angiz Etxea distributed to customers: “Small gestures, great achievements”
